Welcome at Landhaus Arnoth! At the heart of the Hunsrueck Mountains, away from the traffic of busy main roads, leisurely paths will lead you to our Country Hotel; across gentle hillsides, through winding valleys, alongside bushy hedgerows and old cottage gardens. In slate-grey elegance, covered in ivy and trailing wild cherries, the “Faust Old Inn” is welcoming its visitors. Hospitality in cosily tasteful surroundings has a long-standing tradition here.

The Landhaus Surroundings

For nature lovers, there is a choice of short strolls from the Landhaus – for example to the local museum or the new culture barn in Oberkleinich, or a little further afield to Wederath for a visit to the fascinating Belginum exhibition – or hiking tours through the rich woods, hills and valleys around Kleinich. The gem museum in nearby Idar-Oberstein, the exhibition mine in Steinkaulenberg (semi-precious stones) and the Herrenberg slate mine in Bundenbach are other interesting destinations for longer excursions.

 

 

Crispy roast lamb or vegetable cocktail? Guests have been offered “cooking renowned for its quality, as well as fine beverages” since the beginning of the last century – a reputation to which we feel obliged. All our dishes are prepared from fresh ingredients, some of them grown in our own garden. We are always happy to accommodate your wishes for whole foods or health foods.

 

There is also the romantic town of Herrstein with its half-timbered houses, the telephone museum in Morbach and the wood museum in Rapprath. And most of all, there is the magnificent Moselle valley with its picturesque towns such as Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trarbach and Cochem, not to forget Trier, Germany's oldest town, with countless architectural reminders from Roman times.
